Howdy ho neighbors. Seaworld was a blast. My mom and her BF spoiled us all over the 4 day holiday from work. I almost wrecked the boat trailer (it took Kevin about an hour to fix it so we could come home), needless to say this drama mama spilled a few tears over that. Work is a total quagmire or more tackily stated a giant cluster f-ck.

What I am listening to
I have a lot of work to do in the lab today alot of which is second nature and allows me to zone out and listen to a "Play away" From the library. A play away is a little credit card size audio book that you need only insert a triple A battery and your head phones and you are off. I found the book by the former Sat Night Live star Tina Fey called Bossy Pants. She is funny and has a very candid way of telling her life story making even the most sad scenario into a joke which makes it entertaining and fluffy. She also seems a bit feminist and likes to make fun of her appearence (short curvy brunette) as compared to the societal "ideal" of tall thin with long straight blond highlighted hair. So stocked up last night at the library on viewing (for the kiddos) and listening material for our trip tomorrow.
Oh and Thank you aunt Jenny for the birthday gifts and very fun Dora card they love it and of course are looking forward to their shopping trip at Target.

The cycle
The cycle of sickness that is, I am back on the old sick horse. This really pisses me off because i have been eating 10 $ of green produce in th juicer everyday.
So I vow too 1. wash my hands every 20 minutes
2. Treat Sami's chew rag "Chewy" like it is covered in radioactive waste (may as well be)
3. use hand sanitizer all the time.
We are going out of town next weekend for our sea world trip so I am doing my best to get caught up at work before missing another two days. But as wise man said, "They don't pay you that much so who cares." Unfortunately i have more work ethic than that :(
If I get one more sore throat in the next month i am going to the doctor to beg him to rip these F-cking tonsils OUT I am so FINISHED.

A movie and a migraine
As a special birthday treat Kevin and I took the twins to see a movie in the movie theater. We saw Beauty and the Beast Special 3 D edition. After paying 50$ for the four of us to enter KEvin reminisced about the good old days when "It used to cost 2 dollars to see a movie". I told him it hasn't cost that little in over 25 years. He then splurged for the 7$ coke and 5 $ popcorn which is "part of the experience after all". We had kind of expected the expense (well i had anyway) but what we hadn't expected was the nerve shatter volume at which the theater was playing the audio for the movie. So with our movies experience I got a migraine, Kevin continued on with the chronic headache he has been having for the past few weeks. I think it may be related to allergies (it feels like pressure to him). He postulates that it is a brain tumor. I think brain tumor pain however is curl up in fetal position and get your butt to the ER caliber pain .Just in case I am wrong and it is a brain tumor I bought a juicer and I am going to flood him with disgusting green smoothies everynight. Tonight I will juice organic spinach, celery, Swiss chard, carrots, and parsely for us to consume. When else can you eat 50$ worth of produce at one sitting? Healthy living sure costs alot! I find the juicing process super satisfying though, I love watching the smooth rich vitamin filled juice slowly squirt its way into the cup.

I can't believe it.
Another year has passed and my precious only children turn four tomorrow :( They will wake up to some decorations and a few little presents. I am going to bring two chocolate cakes with fudge icing to their class tomorrow at lunch. One decorarated in pink and one decorated in blue. I think I might take them to mini golf after their naps. Then dinner and presents and more cake. We are also celebrating at sea world in couple of weeks.
Did you guys have a good Valentines day? I did. I bought the twins some pillow pets, a new outfit and some Candies. They are still working their way through the bags of treasure they received from their friends at school. After that day of school and work we went to pick up some groceries and Deli chicken (I was not in the mood to cook) at Publix. The shopping trip was an event in itself which included two BMs and me hauling the cart of paid for groceries into the public bathroom with us, and Sami almost getting mowed down in the parking lot while I screamed at her to get back. Anyone who has visited us is familiar with the nightmare that those Publix parking lots are. After all this we pulled up to our house it was raining and Kevin was standing in the garage with door open open talking on his phone, standing out there I suppose in an attempt to get a better signal in the inclimate weather. I grumpily exclaimed "could you please bring your beer in" as I set the 12 pack on the driveway. Kevin said, "Oh yeah it is Valentine's day I suppose I could help you this time". The whole helping me bring groceries in from the car has been a sore spot at times in our relationship which, including when I have flown off the handle in front of his parents about not getting any help with said car load of groceries. It is really a petty line in the sand when i think about it so I have given up asking. Lord knows there are some things i won't/don't do and with some people the more you push on them the harder they push back and no one wins. Any hooo, the point of all this is I went inside to find a cleaned up house with a candle lit on the table, my favorite wine (Toasted head Chardonnay) and sushi roles! That was a great valentines day effort MUCH better then the box of candies I bought him :)

Procedure an a day in the life
I had a varicose vein removed yesterday. It has been quite the process getting to this point. I don't think I would go through it again knowing now how much time it would take. I was texting with my sister and mentioned I was just about to go in to have done she said, "How are you doing that?". I imagined she was picturing me in some backwoods vein party (like botox) where you have non physicians proceed for a cheap cost. Well not so much with this! These veins are an integral part of a person's circulatory system. It's the spider veins people may do for cheap at these "parties" I don't know. I have those too but insurance won't pay for that. Was it painful? Yes it was until they numbed my leg. The inital sclerotherapy with needles puncturing my vein was not numbed, that hurt like a mother. She used a microscalpel the size they use during eye procedurs to puncture my leg and pull that sucker out. Can we say GROSS. I told them the doctor and nurse we had to chat the entire time so I would think about what was happening down there. It's really swarmy when you feel moisture and you imagine it's blood although she told me it was mostly alcohol (which I don't believe) but whatever gets you through right? SO I am sore and wearing this compression hose for a week.
As it turns out I don't really have time to help with painting on the week nights. Here is the typical schedule for me. 1. Leave work at 5, half the time i stop for groceries ineficient I know but we are always out of something..2. Arrive at daycare sign kids out at 540. 3 Arrive home at around 6 take meat out, empty or load dishwasher, juggle the physical needs of my children "Mommy will go to the bathroom with me I am scared? Wipe my BUTT, Can i have treasure? Can I have juice," "what can I have!", What can I do? Dylan said Stupid, Sami said Shut up". 4 Daddy enters the scene now and tries to have a normal conversation with me, he hasn't seen me all day after all either,..This rachets up the voices of S and D because they already have to share me not only with each other but now Daddy wants a turn no way,5. Mean while I am trying to read the directions or boil water or cut meat etc. 6. The struggle between Daddies voice and the twin's voices ensues. 7 Someone gets put in time out after I frustratedly whine "can you guys just BACK OFF for a minute it isn't safe in the kitchen right now". 8 Everyone's feelings are hurt now including Dad's who still has not gotton aword in. 9. Finish dinner, clean up dinner, sweep floors it's 715 now I start the pajama routine and sit down for a few. 10. AT 8 we watch Dora or something I supervise teeth brushing in front of th eTV. 11. 830 is time for book readings in beds and snuggle time. 12 At 9:00 finally laydown in heap on lovely new shag area rug feeling bad that once again Kevin was the only one painting....I don't feel bad enough to get up though!

A quicky
Just a little post for now. Friday I had to leave work early because D had two nosebleeds at school. I told Ms. K the first time she called about it, "Well it's because he keeps picking at his nose"(he woke me up the night before showing me blood on face cloth. So the second time Ms K called about it told her i would come pick him up. So with my watchful eye on duty would had no more nosebleeds this weekend. Of course I consulted Dr Google and horror of horrors nosebleeds can be a sign of leukemia. Thank goodness it was just some simple old over zealous scratching. also this weekend we went to the park, it's like summer here already. We also decided to paint our house insides so we started that. Kevin finally decided he too could no longer live with the peachish beige either, so we are off! Kevin teevoed and watched the super bowl too after a marathon rolling paint session.
